Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon might be the most underrated game of 2023 so far. The game released back in March to stellar reviews, but I personally don’t know anyone who has tried this game out, other than myself. It takes the world of Bayonetta and reimagines it in a storybook format, with puzzle platforming and combat akin to the 2D Legend of Zelda games. In our review, we called it amazing, saying, “From its impressive, fantastical story moments full of childlike charm to its clever platforming puzzles and satisfying battles, this is a superb action-adventure where every piece comes together to create a wondrous playable storybook.”

Get Pokemon Violet for $44.99

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have two waves of DLC on the way, which are set to add tons of new Pokemon to the current roster. If that sounds good to you, then you can pick up the base Pokemon Violet game today for $44.99. This game takes place in the brand new Paldea Region, which is Pokemon’s first real attempt at an open world adventure. It definitely has its issues, like low framerate and some bugs, but longtime Pokemon fans will likely enjoy seeing the franchise swing for the fences in a bold, new direction.

Dragon Ball and The Legend of Zelda Manga Box Sets On Sale

There are a couple of great manga box sets you can save a bundle on today. The first is Dragon Ball, which has a 36% discount on volume 1-16, which all come bundled together in a nice box. This box set will give you the full story of Goku’s origin before the events of Dragon Ball Z, back when the series was a lot less focused on epic, world-threatening action and more focused on being weird. The other box set you can save a lot on is the Zelda manga box set, which is 43% off today. The officially licensed PowerA controller is an excellent controller for the Nintendo Switch console that isn’t so prohibitively expensive. The Metroid Dread decal looks great as well. This wired controller features a familiar dual analog and d-pad layout, two rear mappable buttons, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The detachable cable makes it easy to stow away when not in use (or to replace the cable if it ever gets damaged).

Temu Has Egregiously Low Prices on Random But Useful Goods

Temu is, in many ways, the Chinese equivalent of Amazon marketplace. They sell pretty much everything you can think of at prices beyond lower than what you could imagine. The quality won’t compare to similar items that cost significantly more, but – for the price – the quality is a lot better than you’d expect. I’ve purchased from Temu in the past and my recommendation is to keep your purchases limited to items that are inexpensive and hard to mess up. Some of the stuff I’ve ordered in the past that I’ve been happy with include apparel, wire management accessories, LED flashlights, a really cool arc lighter, a Nintendo Switch carrying case, microfiber cloths, and other random accessories like that. If you’re worried about whether or not Temu is a legit site, fret not. They are a huge company, big enough to claim a TV ad spot during the Superbowl.

New Release: Nanoleaf 4D Screen Mirror + Lightstrip Kit

Nanoleaf has just released its new 4D Screen Mirror Light Strip Kit. This is an RGB LED lighting kit that can capture the colors on your TV and mirror them as ambient lighting around your TV. The Nanoleaf 4D kit comes with a strip of RGB LEDs and a camera. The LED strip mounts behind your TV. Although it only comes in 65″ and 85″ sizes, the strips are trimmable to fit pretty much any size TV on the market. These aren’t cheap LEDs either. The strips have 10 distinct color zones across 30 RGBIC LEDs per meter. If you’re using the 65″ strip, that’s a total of 120 LEDs with 40 different color zones. The camera is mounted to the top of your TV and faces the screen. It’s function is to capture what colors are being displayed and signals the strips to display the proper colors in the proper areas. The “4D” monikor on this light strip simply means that the kit is capable of identifying unique lighting scenes in different areas of the TV and display the corresponding colors in that particular location.

27″ Acer Nitro 1440p 0.5ms 180Hz IPS Gaming Monitor for $199.99

The Acer Nitro XV271U is an excellent gaming monitor at a very respectable price point. This 27″ 2560×1440 monitor boasts a blazing fast 0.5ms response time, up to 180Hz refresh rate using the DisplayPort (144Hz via HDMI), and an IPS panel that offers wide viewing angles and great color reproduction (95% DCI-P3 color space). It officially supports AMD FreeSync Premium, but it has also proven to be NVIDIA G-SYNC “compatible”. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better 27″ monitor for the price.

Alienware m17 17″ AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX RTX 3070 Ti Laptop for $1199.99

The Alienware m17 R5 laptop features a 17″ 1080p 480Hz G-SYNC IPS display, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU boasts a max turbo clock of .4.9GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 20MB cache. The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti provides plenty of muscle on the GPU front. Among the RTX 30 series mobile cards, it’s only slightly less powerful than the RTX 3080. Compared to desktop variants, it’s roughly comparable to the RTX 3060. The RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now, leaving competitors like AMD’s latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX in the dust. The Apple Airtag is a small coin shaped device that you can put in your wallet or attach to your phones, keys, remote, or anything small enough to be easily misplaced. It works as a little WiFi keyfinder that helps you locate your lost objects by pinging the exact location to your iPhone. The liquid cooled Intel Core i9-1200F is an excellent gaming and workstation processor that pairs very well with the RTX 3080 and won’t bottleneck your gaming.

Right now Dell has an Alienware m17 R5 15″ gaming laptop with RTX 3080 Ti GPU for only $1799.99. That’s a great price for a GPU that’s a little more powerful than the RTX 4070 GPU and sells for a lot less. In fact, to find a laptop GPU that’s significantly more powerful, you’d have to pay about $800 more for an RTX 4080 laptop. It will easily run any game on the laptop’s native 1080p display. The other specs are solid as well, like the AMD Ryzen 9 CPU and the massive 32GB of RAM.
